American Clean Energy Incentives: powering Our Economy, Securing our Future
Protect Against the Removal of Federal Tax Credits!
Maintain the Growth of the Fastest Growing Industry in the United States
As America faces the fastest growth in electricity demand since World War II, clean energy is no longer just about the environment — it’s about jobs, U.S. manufacturing, energy security, and economic strength. At the core of this transformation are long-term clean energy incentives that are driving unprecedented investment and innovation in solar and energy storage.
However, the federal tax credit (commercial and residential) for clean and sustainable energy options is in threat of removal. It is imperative to maintain all energy incentives and to continue the expansion of programs which allow clean energy to be more accessible to all. Washington state has many green energy initiatives for residents to take advantage of, however, this country is at risk of losing fundamental funding and benefits which support people’s right for choice on accessing renewable resources and reducing their ecological footprint.
Across the country, companies have invested billions in new facilities, equipment/technology innovation, and skilled trades workers. Funding made possible because of stable federal policies that gave businesses the confidence to grow. Changing course now would put thousands of jobs at risk and interrupt the momentum in one of America’s most dynamic industries. U.S. solar module manufacturing has grown 5x since clean energy incentives were introduced.
Thanks to these advancements, solar is the fastest energy source to deploy, capable of getting megawatts on the grid faster than fossil fuels or nuclear. That’s critical when every kilowatt counts. Tax credits for clean energy aren’t just good for businesses, they’re good for families. Removing these incentives would increase barriers and raise energy costs for Americans at a time when affordability is top of mind. In many parts of the country, solar is already the most cost-effective new source of electricity. Keeping incentives in place ensures that this trend continues.
We’re at a pivotal moment. With rising energy demand, global competition, and economic uncertainty, the people have power to set our demands so that the local and federal government double down on what’s working. We can do this by reaching out to our local government representatives to voice our expectations. Their position is to serve our best interests, so it is our responsibility to express concern in the stability our values rely on. This is the call to action to protect the clean energy incentives powering our future.
